Scene
one of our film opening will include a man in his bedroom getting a parcel
prepared by placing an object inside and wrapping it. However the audience will
not be able to see the object placed inside but the idea would be that they can
see something being put inside. We will achieve this by shooting him pulling an
object out of a bag and then showing him wrapping the parcel. To add effect we
want to include the crisp sound of duct tape being teared to conclude that he
is wrapping up his parcel. The idea that the audience do not know what is
inside this parcel creates suspense which draws the viewers in. This will all
be shot from the rear/behind the man. We then want to include a mirror scene
where you can see the tension, uncertainty and fear in the man’s face and how
he quickly resolves this and recovers to put on a stress-free face.
We
then see the subject placing the parcel in a pocket or a place of hiding and we
watch as he pulls a jacket on to disguise the parcel. We will include a
viewpoint shot where the camera will look down and see the parcel before it is
briskly covered up and the jacket is smoothen down to ensure it is hidden.
The
3rd scene will include a date between the boy and his girlfriend. This scene
will include a musical soundtrack and will not have any dialogue. We wish to
just include the boy looking happy, relaxed and unworried amongst the presence
of his girlfriend. We do not want to include any dialogue as we feel we can
deliver our message of the scene through body language and facial expressions
to spare time for further scenes. This date could be located in a public area,
ideally a river way.
The
male subject will then get a text and the camera will switch to a viewpoint
shot where we can read to text. It will read ‘Where is my package’ this will
then be followed by a nervous and anxious reaction from the boy. He then
proceeds to end his afternoon with his girlfriend and proceeds to walk further
down the river. This scene will include the only dialogue between the boy and
his girlfriend as he tells her he had to leave.
Next
the male receives another text saying ‘I can see you’. This created panic and
includes sound effects such as the beating of a heart and upbeat, tense music
to create suspense amongst the audience and we wish to edit the scenery into a
‘blurred vision’ style. In the next scene the male gets shot by a mysterious
man as he falls into the river in slow motion. The camera then begins to pan
from the floating body over towards the package that has left the victim’s body
and we watch it float down the river.
We
wish for the audience to wonder what is in the package and to be curious as to
what happens next in the film. We want them to wonder who killed the man, why
did it happen and what was in that package that caused his death.
